Sparkman Wharf is booming with new vendors like Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, The Naked Farmer, and a soon-to-be-open specialty food shop called The Main Ingredient. The store promises a lineup of tea, as well as local and Florida-based products like home goods, jams, honeys, hot sauces and spices.
The shop’s original location launched April 2018 in Lutz. Its health-focused offerings included items with non-GMO, organic, vegan, Paleo, Keto and gluten-free ingredients.
“We are very excited to expand The Main Ingredient into the downtown area and to be part of the growth at Sparkman Wharf and Water Street Tampa. We can’t wait to open our doors, meet our new neighbors, introduce our local specialty foods and inspire home chefs in the Channel District.” says Christina Sweet, owner of The Main Ingredient in a release.
For those who have been cooking from home during this pandemic, The Main Ingredient may offer some new specialty items to your pantry. And for those who have been abusing delivery apps and your wallet, now may be the time to get back into the kitchen and flex your culinary muscle.
If not, the slew of restos at Sparkman are still ready and willing to fulfill your needs.

Sparkman Wharf is located at 615 Channelside Dr. in Tampa, with a parking garage for visitors and can also be accessed by scooters.
