Popular food truck The Twisted Indian is shooting for a spring opening for a brick and mortar location in St. Petersburg’s Grand Central neighborhood (h/t St. Pete Rising Urban Development News). The menu will include some of the Indian food truck’s popular dishes like tikka masala naanwiches in addition to new items.
Owner Lokesh Vale, who graduated from the Culinary Institute of America, started the Indian fusion concept after a stint at Four Seasons, according to the food truck’s website. (Four Seasons the hotel, not the newly famous landscaping company.)
The restaurant is the first commercial tenant of the new retail and residential build at 2641 Central Avenue. According to the article, the site is still under construction.
It is unclear whether the food truck will remain in operation after the estimated April 2021 opening date. For now, the Twisted Indian Food Truck is at St. Pete’s Saturday Morning Market and various other locations throughout the week updated on their Facebook page.
