St. Petersburg's fiercely loved Bodega recently began dropping hints about a Tampa expansion. To keep locals all over the region salivating with anticipation over its arrival in Seminole Heights, the restaurant has released a few more details.
Similar to Bodega St. Pete, which opened in the EDGE District in 2013, the Seminole Heights location is open-air yet also enclosed by a courtyard. Indoor and outdoor seating, two shuffleboard courts and a rum bar are planned on-site, in addition to the signature menu of Latin market food — plus fresh juices and smoothies — that diners have come to love at the flagship.
The new restaurant's anticipated opening date is "sometime this spring."
Owners Debbie and George Sayegh haven't released the address of Bodega Seminole Heights, but an added bonus is that they'll share a property with a cocktail bar. The Sayeghs have joined forces with the owners of downtown St. Pete's Mandarin Hide to develop a specialty cocktail program curated for the neighborhood called Mandarin Heights.
Flip through a bunch of renderings for Bodega's second location below, then get excited.
