Above the Salt Cafe Make a table reservation to enjoy the live sounds of the Sunsetters and dance New Year's Eve away. The Ale and the Witch A traditional house party with just 60 seats available. Closed to the public, the private affair near the downtown waterfront (where fireworks are scheduled) will highlight special keg tappings, 32 drafts and a few bomber selections, which the Witch will break out for toasts throughout the evening. The Avenue Eat + Drink This block party will stretch from the Avenue to its latest sibling concepts: Proper Kitchen & Cocktails and Park & Rec. Get down with DJs, a photobooth and midnight Champagne toast in cocktail attire. The Birchwood Havana Nights is set to heat up the downtown St. Pete inn. Admission to this celebratory event come with two floors of open bar, hors d'oeuvres, a dinner buffet, live band in the Grand Ballroom, DJ on The Canopy and a Champagne toast at midnight. The Blind Goat Food and Drink Co. Dance while indulging at another all-night open bar — this time inside South Tampa's Blind Goat. The restaurant and bar's liquor, beer and wine, including top-shelf selections, will be up for grabs alongside unlimited dinner in the form of endless wings, pizza and salads till 11 p.m. All TVs will air the College Football Playoff games, and don't miss the midnight Champagne toast. Cafe Hey Hoppin' Johns, Cafe Hey's traditional New Year's Day celebration, will bring prosperity to diners in 2017. The full-course meal plans to offer all-you-can-eat black-eyed peas (the wealth-givers, which signify good fortune), collards (for money), rice and cornbread (for gold), plus vegan versions of each dish. Cassis American Brasserie Bubbly and lots of fireworks alongside two dinner seatings, a special New Year's Eve kids menu and more vegan and gluten-free eats. The Beach Drive destination promises a live DJ, Champagne toast and party favors, too. Castile A variety of Mediterranean dishes, plus surf and turf, are offered on this New Year's Eve prix-fixe tasting menu. Guests can also take advantage of afternoon food and drink specials on the Hotel Zamora's 360° Rooftop, where the Boogie Nights party will begin at 9 p.m. Expect a dessert and bubbly buffet, open well bar, live music and a midnight Champagne toast. Dunedin Brewery For a third consecutive year, FREEKBASS will provide Dunedin Brewery's New Year's Eve soundtrack. FarmTable Kitchen The Locale Market restaurant has three ways to celebrate New Year's Eve. Select an early four-course tasting menu from executive chef Jeffrey Hileman, or a six-course chef's tasting menu later in the evening (reservations are suggested for both). There's also a more personal experience — the communal Grand Tasting Menu at The Chef's Table — planned; this ticketed, seasonally inspired dinner is limited to 10 people and includes eight courses. Four Stacks Brewing This special edition of the Apollo Beach brewery's Brunch & Brews will have the Rolling with My Hoagies food truck on-site and football playing throughout the day. On the drinks side, sangria on tap, mimosas, beer-mosas and, of course, Four Stacks beer will be offered. Jan. 1, noon-5 p.m. 5469 N. Hidden Springs Ale Works Extended hours on New Year's Eve will bring a free 7 p.m. show with Empire Cinema, Ninehorn, Sun Signs and FR33DBACK to the Tampa Heights brewery. Hofbräuhaus St. Petersburg Celebrate 2017 Bavarian-style. A special menu will be spotlighted, and the party's midnight toast includes a commemorative, take-home Champagne flute. Hollander Hotel Dressed in white, party poolside and ring in 2017 with live DJs, food and adult beverages. Bash in the 'Burg: NYE in White, put on by Club Sport, will take place at the Hollander's HH2O Pool Bar. Independent Bar and Cafe The Indie has locals looking for New Year's Eve merriment covered. Head to its annual neighborhood bash for a complimentary Champagne toast, DJ Tolbeard and more. Mad Beach Craft Brewing Company Chow down on tailgate-style pub grub while catching the College Football Playoff games on New Year's Eve. Marlow's Tavern Raise a glass to 2017 with this special New Year's Eve menu. Diners will enjoy Maine lobster and shrimp chowder, surf and turf or crab-stuffed trout as their main dish, and the "Perfect Sweet Plate" or holiday spiced martini for dessert. Mastry's Brewing Co. This craft brewery's got its flapper dresses and top hats ready. Do you? Hang at the Gatsby-inspired throwdown for a new beer release, souvenir glass, food, music and specials — plus other surprises. 7701 Blind Pass Road, St. Pete Beach, 727-202-8045, mastrysbrewingco.com.

Melange With two menus from chef Lan Bradeen to choose between, make Melange's modern American cuisine part of the celebration. Reservations can be made by calling the restaurant. Mermaid Tavern Get down at the Mermaid, where live entertainment will kick off at 8 p.m. and happy hour pricing on draft beer and sangria will be featured all night long. The bar's normal food menu, a Champagne toast at midnight and bottomless bubbles are also planned. At the door, an optional cover charge is for the band performance and a wristband, which unlocks all-night drink deals — the midnight toast included. $10. 8 p.m.-3 a.m. 6719 N. Peabody's Plenty of music, dancing and drink specials alongside a toast with free Champagne. Pelagia Trattoria For a tasty start to New Year's, or a delicious finish, make a meal at Pelagia part of the plan. A three-course bill of fare will offer prix-fixe starters, entrees and desserts, including jumbo lump crab cake and Colorado rack of lamb. Diners will land a complimentary glass of prosecco, and veg-heads shouldn't worry, either — there are options (think vegan pea protein with organic quinoa and Swiss chard). The Pesky Pelican A prime rib dinner and an open bar are all anyone on the fence about heading here on the eve of Jan. 1 should know. Punky's Bar and Grill A purple-and-white masquerade party from this Grand Central District hangout — with no cover. Tampa Bay Brewing Company At both BrewCo locations, give 2016 a proper send off with good friends, tasty food and local beer. TradeWinds Island Resort Toast by the Coast at the TradeWinds Island Grand Ballroom. A buffet of gourmet hors d'oeuvres, dessert display and open bar will be on hand throughout the evening, followed by a free glass of Champagne for the midnight toast. Kids between the ages of 4 and 12 can also enjoy games, crafts and dinner at their own Ring it in Like Rio celebration, while teenagers (13 to 17 year olds) will get in on dinner, neon glow lights and dancing at the Light Up the Night Teen New Year's Eve Party. Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall Head across the Sunshine Skyway Bridge for the night. Sarasota chef Paul Mattison's catering company will host the performing arts hall's New Year's Eve soirée. Hosted across the Van Wezel Grand Foyer, the party's set to feature food stations, cash bar and funk-soul tunes. A live stream of New York City's Times Square celebration will be showcased as well. The Wild Rover Brewery On New Year's Eve, guests will indulge in an open bar, unlimited grub, karaoke, a Champagne toast and optional costume/masquerade ball. Designated drivers will partake in everything — minus the alcohol — at the brewery's bash. Call or stop in to reserve a ticket. Willard's Tap House Spend New Year's Eve Eve with Willard's as the beer bar hosts a huge tap takeover showcasing Cigar City Brewing.
