The latest ampersanded eatery to open in Seminole Heights will celebrate its grand opening at the end of the month.

Featuring complimentary passed appetizers and select cocktails, the party for Ox & Fields is set to run from 4 to 5 p.m. June 28. The restaurant at 7701 N. Nebraska Ave. will start accepting reservations after 5; tables for that day can also be reserved in advance by calling the restaurant.

A soft launch for the 4,200-square-foot Ox took place at the beginning of May, and CL's food critic recently gave the newbie a three-and-a-half-star-rating. Incorporating local ingredients sourced around the state, the menu reflects a global interpretation of Florida food, as well as influence from Asian and Latin cuisines.

Upon releasing its grand opening date, the restaurant also announced that co-managing partner and executive chef Viet Vo has been invited to the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, this summer. The chef will act as the lead consultant for catering operations throughout the Games.
