Portillo's brings its first Florida home to Brandon next year

In March, Brandon will get the first Florida location from Chicago's iconic Portillo's brand.

The excitement of Portillo's invading the region with its famed Chicago-style wieners and chocolate cake has been brewing since June, and Tuesday morning, the iconic restaurant brand announced its first Florida site will premiere to Brandon in March.

On the northwest corner of State Road 60 and Lakewood Drive, the new Portillo's will showcase 1930s Prohibition-inspired decor, along with a double drive-through lane.

Open interviews for managers will be held at the Embassy Suites (10220 Palm River Road) from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 17, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 18. Check out the restaurant's website to see what's required of applicants.
