In late February, Tampa Bay residents can start getting their walk on again — with wine.
The Tarpon Springs Wine Walk's 2017 schedule was announced last week as 4 to 8 p.m. Feb. 25, May 20, July 22, Sept. 23 and Nov. 25.
Strolling to 30 to 45 participating local merchants (many of which offer deals during the walk), each adult event includes a special-edition commemorative wine glass, plus a tasting of select wines and bites. Wine walkers can kick off their evening at either the Tarpon Springs Chamber of Commerce or Wine at the Docks, and a free shuttle will transport guests between downtown and the Sponge Docks.
Advanced tickets, which cost $20, can be purchased online through PayPal (scroll to the bottom), as well as from Wine at the Docks and the Chamber of Commerce, both of which plan to have day-of tickets for $25.
