Quini, a mobile wine tasting app developed in Vancouver, British Columbia, opened up its visual wine reviews for public browsing last week. Accessible without a registration or sign-in process, the comprehensive wine listings database, showcased through the app but also online, features more than 10,000 crowdsourced reviews and ratings.
"As QuiniWine.com continues to grow, and the direct to consumer category expands, unlocking Quini Ratings aligns well with our goal of making wine tasting accessible to all and helping more consumers gain confidence about wine," said Jennifer Anderson, vice president of revenue and products for Quini, in a statement.
Wine enthusiasts may explore Quini community member's top-rated wines, the most popular varietals, ratings broken down by eye, nose, mouth, finish and opinion, and more. The search function also helps with wine discovery.
After an account is created, users may submit and share reviews, add wines to their wish list and "follow" other members.
