If you've been grocery shopping recently, you may have noticed an abundance of corn wrapped in their green husks (or cellophane and Styrofoam) in large piles in the produce section. That's right, it's sweet corn season!
Lucky for us here in Florida and for those who live in California, we can purchase sweet corn when it is at its freshest, with little travel time between farm to produce stand, as it is one of the major crops grown in these two states. And since it's so plentiful at this time of the year, it's also very inexpensive.
