Recipe roundup: Creamy, frosty, frozen treats

Stay cool and satisfy your sweet tooth.

Faux Berry Fro-Yo (CL Food) - With this healthy alternative to ice cream, you can still get your frozen yogurt/ice cream fix and maintain that girlish figure.

Frozen BLT (Salty Seattle) - You heard correct. It's a deconstructed dessert-like take on the classic sandwich, containing bacon ice cream, tomato gelato and lettuce-pea shoot sorbet served between two pizelle cookies. You have to see it to believe it.

Goat Cheese Ice Cream with Sour Cherry Compote ( Mango & Tomato) - Tangy goat cheese makes for a great flavor addition to ice cream and the sour cherries give it an extra kick of flavor.

Grapefruit Sorbet (She Wears Many Hats) - The perfect mix of icy, sweet and tangy.

Mini Ice Cream "Drumsticks" (Just a Taste) - Cute little versions of the ice cream "Drumstick" you had as a kid.

Peach-Basil Sorbet
(Dash of East) - An easy recipe utilizing a delicious summer fruit — and no ice cream maker needed!

Pineapple Floats (Chocolate-Covered Katie) - Forget the root beer and vanilla ice cream and use frozen pineapple and coconut ice cream for this frosty vegan treat.

Toasted Marshmallow Ice Cream (Healthy Food for Living) - Whip up a batch of this and put a scoop between graham crackers and a piece of chocolate bar for a frozen s'more treat.

Triple Layer Brownie Ice Cream Cake (Zoe Bakes) - Homemade brownie "cake" layered with three different flavors of ice cream and decorated with more chocolate — heavenly!

It's summer, so besides sweating our butts off, it means that many of us tend to crave cold, frosty treats. (Unless you're odd like me and tend to crave ice cream more in the wintertime.)

To help combat heat exhaustion, why not whip up some of these delicious-looking treats to satisfy your sweet tooth and stay cool?

Boozy Cocktail Milkshakes (Chow) - Three classic cocktails-turned-milkshakes. Creamy and delicious.

Breakfast Frosty (College Girl Cooking) - Who says milkshakes are only for dessert? At least this one has a banana and some almond milk to lend vitamins and minerals to your frosty meal.

Chocolate Ganache Ice Cream (CL Food) - What happens when you "accidentally" throw some dark chocolate ganche into your ice cream maker when making a batch of plain ol' vanilla.
