Street food concept Nebraska Mini Mart has been slinging casual bites out of its doors for about a year and a half now, but it’s starting the new year off right with a brand new food and drink menu.
Nebraska Mini Mart launched its revamped menu last week, chock full of small bites like buffalo cauliflower nuggets, parmesan-roasted Brussels sprouts, sloppy joe nachos, pierogis and loaded fries. On the more filling side, the entree menu offers eclectic dishes like Korean cheesesteak, chicken Shwarma wrap, chili-dusted chicken and waffles, glass noodle salad with fermented black bean vinaigrette and its signature chicken sandwich—watch out Popeye’s.
Alongside its new lunch and dinner menu, Nebraska Mini Mart also added a small selection of bites for children like chicken tenders and hot dogs, which Tampa moms have already been praising online.
Owners and operators Chef Ferrell Alvarez and Ty Rodriguez of Rooster & the Till and Chon Nguyen boast of house-made dressings and sauces, as well as locally sourced ingredients for their carefully-crafted menu.
Other than its menu, not much else has changed at Nebraska Mini Mart. The restaurant that some also call an “adult playground” still has its famed happy hour from 5 p.m.- 7 p.m. daily, free bocceball and shuffleboard everyday, as well as special DJ and live music sets that are often updated on its Facebook.
Nebraska Mini Mart has the balanced atmosphere of a sleek, modern eatery, with the comfort and attention to detail that family-owned restaurant would provide—and its newly-reformed menu elevates the casual-but-inventive street food concept even further.
Head to the Seminole Heights spot this Friday, January 17 to help the Nebraska Mini Mart family celebrate its newest culinary chapter. If you’re one of the first 50 people at Friday’s ‘Nebraska Mini Mart Takeover’ event, you’ll get a free chicken sandwich.
