On Wednesday, perennial Best of the Bay winner Kahwa Coffee announced plans to open its latest cafe at Westchase's new Altis at Highland Park apartment building.

Slated to open in the spring at 11588 Fountainhead Drive, the 1,100-square-foot shop will be the seventh location from the roastery, which started in St. Petersburg around 10 years ago.

Co-owner Raphael Perrier called the Westchase neighborhood "fast-growing" in a press release, and like the other Kahwas, the new indoor-outdoor cafe will highlight cookies, French pastries and more.
