I understand we go through a number of changes in taste as we grow up. I can still recall myself as a child, first liking a certain food and then disliking it. Later, in some cases, I ended up liking it again. But I wasn’t fickle. Honest.

I’ve heard that all children go through similar ups and downs as their taste buds turn into whatever they’ll be when they grow up. And let me tell you, when a taste bud grows up, it can be pretty set in its ways.

Suffice it to say, most parents face the dinner table with a certain amount of apprehension. But if you have six kids like I do, figuring out what they each like today can be a lot like juggling with six red-hot objects.
