Next to St. Petersburg's Chi-Town Beefs & Dogs, Slate Door Brew has opened.
The cozy new coffee shop at 169 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. St. N. serves up local roasts from Java Planet, Joffrey's Coffee & Tea Co. and BGG Roasting in its specialty and espresso brews. Order items like a macchiato, chai latte or cafe con leche, as well as iced frappes and mochas.
In addition to the coffee, including a daily featured beverage, savory and sweet small bites appear on a rotating menu. Since its debut earlier this month, Slate Door has featured apple butter, Biscoff and fluff sandwiches, cinnamon rolls, Funfetti croissants, doughnuts, coconut macaroons, grilled cheese and more.
