St. Peterburg's Social Roost Kitchen and Bar has been playing a serious game of hard to get for over a year now.

Initially slated for a September 2019 opening, build-out delays pushed the downtown restaurant and bar's projected opening date to late 2019. And if you’ve made your way to 150 1st Ave. NE, where Social Roost resides, lately, you’ll notice the doors are still sealed shut.

But it looks like the full-service restaurant will finally debut next month. In a recent social media post boasting the bar being stocked with Clase Azul tequila, Social Roost responded to a user that the opening date is “Dec 2020.” Just a few more weeks, people.

If the pricey tequila nod wasn’t enough of a tipoff, Social Roost’s decor is shooting for posh vibes. Upon opening, the concept’s menu will feature globally-inspired chicken dishes which can easily be paired with craft cocktails courtesy of Social Roost’s bar.

More details to come as the long-awaited opening approaches.
