Tampa Sandwich Bar has been slinging a local favorite since launching in 2015.

Locals were stoked to learn that South Korea had its very own Cuban sandwich shop. And this weekend, they won't have to travel far to get a taste of Seoul's Tampa Sandwich Bar.

Opened in 2015, Geunmin Kang and Hyunmin Cho's sandwich operation is among the restaurants competing at the sixth annual Cuban Sandwich Festival, which hosted its first international contestant last year. The sandwich showdown takes place at Hillsborough Community College's Ybor City campus at noon Saturday and 11 a.m. Sunday.

The Tampa Sandwich Bar owners have been posting their adventures around town to social media, checking out destinations like the Columbia Restaurant, Stone Soup Company and Tampa Theatre, featured in the Instagram video below.
