A new bar is bringing Nashville spirit to Tampa’s party scene—and it’s not called “Barn HWRD,” OK?

Sunset Rodeo opened Aug. 8, taking over Bar HWRD’s former spot at 302 S Howard Ave..

The bar is 23-and-up with the exception of Thursdays’ 21-and-up “Neon Stampede.” Along with alcohol, Sunset Rodeo offers food and live music. The music lineup for the rest of August includes Forrest Hoffar, Hell on Heels, Piper Live Band, DJ duo Desert Rose and Derek Larson.

The menu includes smash burgers, hot chicken, loaded glizzies and a glizzy tower. Sundays from noon-4 p.m are “Boots and Brunch” with its own menu including a mimosa tower.

And of course there’s a mechanical bull.

Sunset Rodeo is open 3:30 p.m.-3 a.m. Tuesday-Friday and 11 a.m.-3 a.m. on weekends.
