South Tampa favorite SoHo Sushi working on new Asian kitchen concept

The location is to be announced.

SoHo Sushi wants Tampa Bay to know it's "stepping out of the box." A South Tampa favorite since 2005, the Japanese restaurant and bar — the younger sibling of Yoko's Japanese Restaurant, which is also the parent company of downtown St. Pete's Sushi Inc. — has started working on a new, fast-casual concept: The Asian Kitchen.

Although the location is to be announced, the coming-soon restaurant expects to mix SoHo Sushi classics with a broader lineup of dishes. Menu highlights range from pad Thai and General Tso's chicken to poke bowls and burritos.

Guests of The Asian Kitchen, where decor finishes include polished metal and natural wood, can also look forward to delivery, a feature that should arrive in fall.

To stay on top of the restaurant's updates (among them that anticipated grand opening date), diners are encouraged to become a part of the "Kitchen Krew" online.
