No major closings this week, but Blind Tiger has another location, Oxford Exchange launched a champagne bar, and Woven Water Brewing is quietly coming along in Tampa Heights.


Blind Tiger Café A fifth location popped up at Westshore Plaza Mall in the former Starbucks location. Shoppers can now get their caffeine fixes with a layer of latte art or sips of kombucha or tea. 250 Westshore Plaza, Tampa.

Champagne Bar Oxford Exchange opened a decadent, picturesque and floral champagne bar within its boutique area. Bartenders are serving signature cocktails, popping bottles and pouring glasses ranging anywhere from $9-$50. 420 W. Kennedy Blvd., Tampa.

Ground Foods Cafe Seminole Heights has a new organic vegetarian Italian concept. Menu are vegetarian, but most cater to vegans. GFC also has Italian natural wines alongside a selection of craft Italian beer. 6428 N. Florida Ave., Tampa.

Guac n’ Cheese In the former Chihuahua Mexican Grill parcel, diners can slide by for salsa, fresh guacamole, ground beef empanadas and chili con carne. 4101 S. MacDill Ave., Tampa.

Lolis Mexican Cravings The Tampa hotspot’s third location slings 11 different types tacos plus quesadillas, tamales and sopes. Now St. Pete residents can get in on the action without a crazy commute. 3324 W. Gandy Blvd., Tampa.

Meat Market The highly-anticipated upscale restaurant serves dinner in Hyde Park Village. Staying true to its name, there will be an extensive amount of protein on the menu (hello, 32-ounce prime porterhouse).1606 W. Snow Ave., Hyde Park Village.

Pokē Fish The fast-casual Hawaiian concept’s second location serves up build-your-own poke bowls ranging from snack size to large, with prices from $9.95-$14.95. You can even opt for a pineapple bowl. 500 S. Howard Ave., South Tampa.

Rocca The upscale Italian restaurant hosts a rotating seasonal menu utilizing locally sourced ingredients in the from scratch kitchen. Wine and cocktails will keep diners buzzing at Tampa Heights’ new date night location on the ground floor of The Pearl. 323 W. Palm Ave., Tampa.

Shaker & Peel Chef-driven, taco-focused restaurant offers $3 and $4 tacos, plus an array of salads, and shareables like fried artichoke hearts, charred chicken wings, and ceviche (all dishes have a variety of proteins, seafood and vegetarian options). 3159 Curlew Rd., Oldsmar.


La La’s Sangria Bar Enjoy eight flavors of house-crafted sangria at the indoor-outdoor bar which will also serves small plates. Expect a late October opening. 203 N. Meridian Ave., Tampa.

Luv Child Opening in late October, the latest concept from Ciccio Restaurant Group will offer Cuban-Mexican dishes like chicharrones and avocado tostones. 516 S. Howard Ave., Tampa.

Sauvignon The fifth wine bar coming to St. Pete this fall. The wine locker and American trattoria is on social media teasing its bottle stock as menu items like fresh beet salad plus scallops with crispy prosciutto over herbed polenta. 241 Central Ave., St. Petersburg. @sauvignonstpete

Woven Water Brewing The Tamp Heights microbrewery should make its debut in 2020. Head brewer and co-founder Jay Jones previously brewed for Lakeland’s Brew Hub and most recently been brewing at 81Bay in Tampa. 456 W. Columbus Dr., Tampa. @wovenwaterbrewing
