St. Pete’s Central Arts District added another restaurant to its repertoire. Although, you may have never heard of it - until now.
Located at 326 1st Ave. N. next door to William’s Park Hotel, the opening of Southen Exposure flew under the radar, and continues to be a little off the grid with its lack of social media absence.
Discounts include 20% off for fire, police, first responders, military and hospital staff with ID. There’s also a daily early bird drink special as well as a $14 Prix fix menu from 3-6 p.m. available for dine-in only.
Pockets a little light after the first of the month? Southern Exposure hosts .50 cent wings Friday and Saturday dine-in only.
The resto’s limited menu includes entrees like baby back ribs, Louisiana gumbo, chicken and waffles, southern pulled pork, chicken tenders, meatloaf and smoked penne.
Those can go along with classic sides like beans and sausage, collards, dirty rice, southern potato salad, veggies and garlic mashed potatoes.
If you’re feeling peckish, opt for starters like Carolina wings, pretzel bites or a garden salad.
There are also three desserts on the menu to cap off your visit: key lime pie, bourbon pecan pie and bourbon bread pudding.
If you want to test out the new joint, you can swing by to have a seat either inside or under umbrella-covered seating out front.
Hours for the ‘Burg newbie are 11 a.m. -11 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Sunday, and 11 a.m.-1 a.m. Thursday through Saturday.
