Spanish restaurant Vizcaya, known for their sangria and wide selection of tapas, has moved just 11 miles down the road from their original Carrollwood location to 3671 S. Westshore Blvd.
According to an Instagram post, Vizcaya’s former building had been sold, forcing the concept to find a new space. The restaurant’s location isn’t the only thing that changed, according to its new Facebook page, the joint has rebranded to “Vizcaya Restaurante South.”
Vizcaya Restaurante South’s has taken over the space that formerly housed the short-lived Italian eatery Babbaluci. Interestingly enough, Babbaluci was owned by Felix Piedra, who has owned Vizcaya for more than 15 years according to TBBJ. Talk about an easy move.
The new space hosts live music, an upstairs lounge, and rooftop outdoor seating.
Hours for South Vizcaya are 5 p.m.-10 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 5 p.m.-11 p.m. Friday, 5 p.m.-10 p.m. Saturday, and 5 p.m.-8 p.m. Sunday.
