An inexpensive mobile grocery store plans to start bringing fresh and shelf-stable foods to local communities in need.
Known as My Mobile Market, the concept — a pop-up-style market meets on-the-go grocer created through the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay's Big Idea Grant — is a partnership between Feeding Tampa Bay and Goodwill-Suncoast. The twosome aims to serve quality food, without all the high prices, to Tampa Bay food deserts.
My Mobile Market's grand opening at 10 a.m. Monday will introduce residents of Tampa's New Life Village, located at 4926 Venice Lake Ave., to its low-cost offerings for the first time.
