Winn-Dixies have been steadily closing throughout the Tampa Bay area for a few years now, and the latest grocery store to fall victim to this unfortunate trend is its St. Petersburg location at 7489 4th St. N. There are two other Winn-Dixie stores on 4th St. N that are still in operation.

According to an employee working at this location, February 10 will be the store’s last day open. The staff at this St. Petersburg Winn-Dixie was informed of their store’s closure just last week.

Other Tampa Bay Winn-Dixies that have recently closed include a Largo location at 11912 Seminole Blvd. and a Brandon store at 179 Bloomingdale Ave. Winn-Dixie’s parent company Southeastern Grocers filed for bankruptcy in 2018, and have been both closing and re-modeling several locations throughout Florida since.
