Intermezzo Coffee & Cocktails in St. Pete is about to be decked out again this year during the Christmas-themed pop-up event, Miracle at Mezzo. From November 25 through December 31, Intermezzo will be drowning in the holiday spirit with lights, garlands, and ribbons accompanied by classic Christmas tunes.

The event originated in 2014 at founder Greg Boehm’s bar Mace in New York. After the inaugural Miracle on Ninth Street was born in his place, transforming it into a winter wonderland during the weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas, industry friends began reaching out and wanting to recreate the concept within their own spaces.

General Manager Joann Spiegel heads up the signature festival cocktail creations which will be echoed through each participating bar.

Over the years, Miracle Christmas pop-ups began spreading. Intermezzo is 1 of 95 locations participating throughout the nation this year.

“We offer a true experience for our guests as soon as they walk through the doors. Our partners across the U.S. and world are all dedicated to delivering exceptional visits with quality cocktails,” said Boehm, owner, and creator of Miracle, in a recent statement.

One addition to the Miracle celebration will be an Ugly Sweater Party on Monday, December 2 at every participating location. The mission is to host the largest combined ugly sweater gathering the world has ever seen.

There will also be themed custom glassware that will be available for purchase throughout the pop-up, so you won’t have to keep your ugly sweater as your only memento.

“In our sixth year, we’re excited to keep making Miracle better year after year while keeping our true love for the holiday season alive,” Boehm says.

There will be nine festival cocktails on the menu; one of which is a “Christmapolitan” made up of vodka, elderflower, dry vermouth, spiced cranberry sauce, lime, rosemary and absinthe mist. Or the Koala-La La La, La La La La. Which is a mouthful in itself, but also another tipsy concoction, with gin, pine tea cordial, grapefruit oleo and eucalyptus bitters.

In the mood for something hot? Order the Bad Santa made up of rum, Batavia Arrack, black Chai tea, date-infused oat milk, and vanilla syrup.

Need to freshen your breath before making your way to the mistletoe?

You can grab the Nice Shot, made up of rum, peppermint tea, and chocolate; or turn to the dark side with the Naughty Shot with bourbon and cinnamon.

Make sure to flash your ugly sweater when the camera comes out to document the occasion.

Mark your calendar, get the sweater, and prepare to celebrate Christmas at Intermezzo for five weeks straight.
