Where else can you drink margaritas amongst flamingos?

Cinco de Mayo is quickly approaching, and if you don’t want to end up at a random Tijuana Flats, then you can sip on some Mexican beers at Sunken Gardens’ upcoming fiesta instead.

Happening on Thursday, May 5, tickets for Sunken Gardens' party run for $45 and come with light Mexican bites from CALI St. Pete, margaritas and Mexican beer, and some of the most scenic views in St. Petersburg.

Tickets— as well as more information—can be found at sunkengardensfoundation.org.

From tropical flora and fauna to flamingos and waterfalls, Sunken Gardens is one of Tampa Bay’s oldest botanical gardens, according to its website.

There will also be a docent-led tour throughout the multi-acre gardens to teach guests about its upcoming history center, which is slated to debut this fall.

Next month's event is organized and hosted by the Sunken Gardens Forever Foundation, a nonprofit organization that focuses on “preserving Sunken Gardens’ legacy as a historic St. Pete landmark through education and philanthropy.”

More information about the organization and its mission can be found at sunkengardensfoundation.org.
