St. Pete's Sunshine Kitty Catfe is opening this month, and they're hiring

Looks like St. Pete's very first cat cafe is set to soft open this month! Tying up a few loose ends, the Sunshine Kitty Catfe took to social media to announce that the concept is hiring. The post reads, "*Pspspsps* Sunshine Kitty is looking for a few new furriends...." and proceeds to list off qualifications for applicants.

Part-time positions are available, offering employees up to 30 hours per week. Although no barista experience is necessary, strong customer service and cleaning skills are required. Litter box duty, anyone?

While it's not a requirement, experience in animal care and social media management highly desired. Just a heads up, you must be at least 18 years of age for the cafe's forthcoming beer and wine license.

To apply, send a cover letter and resume to [email protected], along with schedule availability and hourly salary expectations. Don't sleep on throwing your hat in the ring, all submissions must be in by March 3.

Aren't qualified or would rather just sit back and enjoy the magic of the catfe? Upon opening, guests will be able to hang with adoptable cats nearby, visible through a glass divider that separates the cat lounge from the coffee shop. The cat lounge is basically a big foster home for adoptable cats and offers reservations for you to get cozy with furry friends looking for a forever home. By the way, entry fees are required to access the cat lounge.

The concept is shooting for a soft opening date in March, but hasn't quite nailed down a date as of yet. More details to come as the opening date approaches.

Sunshine Kitty Catfe is located at 1669 1st Ave. S. in the 'Burg.
