Alton Brown will return to the Straz Center for the Performing Arts with another comedy-song-puppet-and-food-experimentation-filled evening — but not until next year.
The serial TV food show host and personality's last visit to Tampa Bay was in 2015, when his Edible Inevitable Tour made a stop at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater. His interactive appearance at downtown Tampa's Morsani Hall at the Straz, titled Alton Brown Live: Eat Your Science Tour, is set for 8 p.m. April 21. It promises "all-new everything including songs, new comedy, new puppets, and bigger and better potentially dangerous food demonstrations."
Fans may start snagging tickets, which cost between $35 and $125, at 10 a.m. (online) and noon (by phone or in person at the box office) Thursday.
This fall, another celebrity of the culinary world, Ina Garten, will make her way to the Straz.
