Six celebrated Tampa Bay breweries are set to participate in a special presentation focused on what continues to be called a phenomenon: craft beer.

Mark DeNote, Florida Beer News editor and author of The Great Florida Craft Beer Guide, will discuss "Brewing Up Business: The Wonders of Small Business with Florida Breweries" at Pasco County's Saint Leo University. Hosted by the School of Arts and Sciences at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 9, the event will take place in the Greenfelder-Denlinger Boardrooms of the Student Community Center.

Following DeNote's presentation, representatives from Angry Chair Brewing, Barley Mow Brewing Company, Saint Somewhere Brewing Company, 7venth Sun Brewery, Coppertail Brewing Co. and Cigar City Brewing will participate in a panel discussion, plus a Q&A. The 21-and-up event also plans to feature beer samples and light bites while supplies last.

Tickets, which cost $5 each, can be purchased in advance just email Tammy Hunt at tamra.hunt@saintleo.edu  and at the door. Guests should use free campus lots, or the campus garage, for event parking.
