This weekend coffee houses around Tampa Bay are celebrating National Coffee Day.
Rather than offering buy-one-get-one deals, Tampa Bay Kahwa Coffee locations are donating 100% of proceeds from every coffee and tea drink sold to one of three partner charities — Pinellas County locations of Blessings in a Backpack, Hillsborough County locations of Where Love Grows and all Hillsborough County locations and Sarasota locations of All Faiths Food Bank.
Coffee lovers can flock to Kahwa locations on Sunday, September 29 to grab a caffeinated drink for a good cause.
Kahwa wants to give back to centers that are working to help end the hunger crisis in local communities. For instanc, Blessing in a Backpack provides children with a backpack of food to take home for 38 weekends during the school year.
“In lieu of the standard National Coffee Day discounts, we wanted to pay it forward and bring awareness not only to the issue of hunger in each county, but to showcase these charities and the amazing work they do day-in and day-out. To maximize support, each charity has been assigned to one of three counties where our Kahwa cafés are located,” Sarah Perrier, co-owner of Kahwa Coffee, said in a statement.
Time to give back while getting your buzz on.
