You're running out of time to get one of those hurricane-themed cakes.

As Hurricane Ian approaches Florida's Gulf Coast as a Category 3 storm, the state's largest grocer is adjusting its hours.

Today, Lakeland-based grocery giant Publix said it will close many of its Florida locations early today, and not reopen til Friday.

"We’re closely monitoring Hurricane Ian and the impact it may have on our operating areas," said Publix in a tweet.  The closures include many Tampa Bay locations, including stores within Hillsborough and Pinellas counties.

According to the Publix website, most Hillsborough stores will close tonight, Tuesday, Sept. 27 at 6 p.m. and will reopen Friday, Sept. 30 at 7 a.m.

In Pinellas, stores will have similar operating hours, except for the locations at 200 Island Way, Clearwater, 4655 Gulf Blvd, St. Pete Beach, and 111 104th Ave., Treasure Island will close at 3 p.m. today.

So far, most Winn Dixie stores have not announced any closures in the Tampa Bay area. According to the Winn Dixie website, only the Madeira Beach location has closed.
