Today, March 18, Governor Ron DeSantis ordered all public schools in Florida to remain closed through April 15, and the public school system is doing its part in attempts to alleviate stress on families by providing free meals

All meals are free for anyone 18 years old and under, and available at select locations Mon.-Fri. from March 23-27.

Children can receive one food package each day; the package includes both breakfast and lunch. In Pinellas County, the times vary at pickup locations, Hillsborough County and Lee County Schools will be serving from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at all sites.

If you are a family struggling with food insecurity, Feeding Tampa Bay is offering mobile pantry services, and an on-site food pantry to assist with coronavirus prep.
