Next week, 10 kid cooks from around the country are set to battle it out during the first installment of Food Network Star Kids — and Tampa has someone to root for.
Food Network Star Kids, hosted by actress-turned-food-celeb Tia Mowry and TV personality and food writer Donal Skehan, will debut at 8 p.m. Monday. The new show will follow the finalists, including 9-year-old Gracie Evans of Tampa, as they battle it out in culinary, on-camera and social media competitions throughout six episodes for their own series on FoodNetwork.com.
The premiere episode will have the cooks (ranging from ages 9 to 13) creating a live 30-second audition video and preparing a dish that showcases their "food personality," plus a Snapchat cooking tip. Mentors Mowry and Skehan will then send home three finalists based on their plates.
Tune in to catch Evans's culinary creativity in the kitchen.
