St. Petersburg’s vegan crowd has a lot to look forward to in the coming months—including a new grocery store. Tampa’s Black Radish Grocer is set to bring its fancy vegan cheese across the Bay to 246 Dr. MLK Jr St. N. before the end of the year.

The announcement came in an Instagram post during Gulfport’s Golden Dinosaurs Vegan Deli’s third birthday celebration, where the boutique grocer was handing out coupons.

Its Tampa counterpart opened in 2020 and quickly became a V.M Ybor staple. That location is still open and available for regular shopping and curbside pickup.

Black Radish even has grab-and-go options from the deli like the BOC (Breakfast Of Champions) complete with Just Egg and Follow Your Heart cheese on your choice of bread. You can even get fancy and an Impossible sausage or hash brown patty.

Some popular grocery items include seitan filets, Stonewall’s Jerquee snacks, frozen buttermilk biscuits and a huge selection of vegan cheeses and ice cream options. You can also find well known vegan staples like Beyond meatballs and local eats like St. Pete Ferments’ jackfruit kimchi and many sauerkraut options (herb and garlic, sesame singer, dandelion and onion to name a few).

More details on the St. Pete location are TBA, but you can keep up with the latest on the grocer’s Instagrams (@blackradishgrocerstpete and @blackradishgrocer).
