This afternoon, barbeque supply emporium Grill & Provisions opens a second shop with The Brisket Shoppe restaurant attached and ready to sell smoked meats and accompaniments three days a week.

The Brisket Shoppe—located at 4004 Henderson Blvd. where Holy Hog’s old Palma Ceia West location used to be—grand opened today and has a menu focused on three types of brisket: prime, USDA prime, and Wagyu. In addition, there are Texas hot links, smoked beef sausage, stuffed poblano peppers, and nachos. Of course all good barbeque comes with sides—at the shoppe, they’re collard greens, brisket and beans, mac and cheese, and potato wedges.

“It's a mixed concept store and the first of it's kind here in Tampa,” Shoppe representative Tess Hipp told Creative Loafing Tampa Bay in an email. “You can come in for your grilling accessories, grab a beer while you shop and get brisket and BBQ to go before you leave.”

Sorry vegans, the Shoppe ain’t going to be in your rotation.

“No apologies and no, we cannot offer all things to everyone. We are a BBQ house specializing [in] brisket and it is the best brisket in town,” the Shoppe’s website states.

The Brisket Shoppe’s opens at 11 a.m. on Thursday and Fridays, and 9 a.m. on Saturdays when you can get El Guapo breakfast brisket burrito. Closing time, for all three days, is when the brisket is sold out.

You can get your meats togo by calling ahead or driving thru, or you can eat there–outside only though, there’s no inside seating available.
