Merry Christmas, hot chicken lovers. This Friday, Dec. 24 all three locations for local hot chicken joint King of the Coop are giving away tender boxes starting at 11 a.m.

Participating locations include Seminole Heights (6607 N Florida Ave.), Wesley Chapel (27835 Wesley Chapel Blvd. No. 102) and the newest King of the Coop in South Tampa (500 S Howard Ave.).
Coop founder Joe Dodd told Creative Loafing Tampa Bay that the South Tampa location will officially open for dine-in and takeout sometime next week. "Either the 27th or 28th, we'll announce it on social," he said.

Each location will give away 250 boxes. Each one will have three tenders tossed hot or not (aka Biddy or Nashville hot sauce), plus bread, fries and pickles. The offer is limited to one box per customer, first come, first served, no online or phone orders.

"Uber Eats is gonna be closed that day, too, and we're gonna give away tenders until 4 p.m. or until we run out," Dodd told CL.

That's 2,250 tenders, Tampa Bay. Prepare your butthole.
