Although the official opening for the Greek bakery and eatery, Psomi, is still slated for Friday, November 8, the joint is now in soft opening mode according to recent social media posts.

Located at 701 N. Howard Ave. in Tampa, Psomi has two dining options — one of which is ordering from a fast-casual cafe counter which offers up seating on the front terrace. Food is delivered to diner’s table if dining in, or picked up at the counter for a to-go order. Diners can also opt for a full-service experience in the dining room. Both options utilize the same menu, so don’t worry about FOMO feels.

Psomi — which also serves fresh-baked bread and pastries like baklava and bougatsa — plans on opening for dinner service in the future, but for now, it is focusing on breakfast and lunch service. Other menu options include bites like grilled octopus, fried calamari, salads, stuffed pita pockets, as well as a selection of cocktails.

Hours for the new Tampa restaurant are 7 a.m.-3 p.m. on Monday-Friday and 8 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday. On Sunday, the cafe opens at 8 a.m. for coffee and pastries before brunch service runs from 10 a.m.- 3 p.m. Guests can email [email protected] to book opening weekend reservations.
