Makanai is food and drink inspired by Japanese staff meal cooking, where absolutely no ingredient get wasted, not even the fish heads or various leftover bones and scraps.The chefs will utilize their creative flair to incorporate these otherwise discarded ingredients into each dish.
The first available time for the event is 6 p.m., and booking will be first come, first served. Diners will experience a five-course amuse-bouche, followed by three-courses of family-style hot plates and wrapping up with dessert. To experience the Makanai event, tickets are $75 with the option to add sake or a wine pairing to various courses.
Just a heads up, Noble Rice cannot accommodate any food restrictions during this event. Not sure if you can handle the adventurous dining experience? You can reserve a table at the sushi restaurant a different day of the week or slide by Noble Market to grab necessities like sandwiches, ramen kits and bento boxes.
