Davis Islands-born Tasty Roots is starting a new chapter in South Tampa as Daily Dose Organics.

In Tampa, the nearly 3-year-old Tasty Roots has, well, picked up its roots. The grab-and-go organic cafe — which closed at 218 E. Davis Blvd. after serving the Davis Islands community one last time on May 25 — is in the process of relocating to a bigger, more centralized location in South Tampa.

The cafe plans to reopen in its new home at 3415 Bay to Bay Blvd. next month. Tasty Roots will also undergo a rebrand as part of the move, adopting the fresh identity that is Daily Dose Organics.

Owner Kirstin Coolman brought Tasty Roots to Davis Islands in July 2015. The cafe specialized in premade organic meals for folks on the go, as well as custom meal plans. But don't worry — both will remain the focus of Daily Dose Organics, alongside other health and wellness menu items, including what's billed as Tampa's first bone broth bar.

Expect active wear, crystals and green skin care products, too.

"I wanted to create a space that better caters to health and wellness of mind, body, and spirit," reads a May 8 post on the Tasty Roots Facebook page. "With the growth of our business and expansion of our concept, we needed to update our brand to better embody our vision."

The announcement from Coolman and company goes on to say that Tasty Roots is thrilled to start a new chapter as Daily Dose Organics.

"Thank you, from the bottom of my 💚, for all the love and support you've shown us over the last 3 years! I'm beyond grateful and thankful! Without you, my dream would still just be a dream!"
