Starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, Bay area residents will get their chew on during the grand opening of Bubbleology's Westfield Citrus Park location.
The British Bubbleology chain, specializing in the tea-based beverage known as bubble tea, calls the Tampa concept a "tea-bar café." Its premiere will feature free drinks for the first 100 guests, giveaways and prizes, and those who receive or purchase a tea will be entered to win an Apple Watch, iPad or Simon gift card.
Until 9 p.m., buying a tea will get guests a complimentary drink token to share with a friend, too.
Citrus Park's Bubbleology, located near Starbucks in the mall's food court, was originally scheduled to open in November. Serving its offerings hot or cold, the café highlights 12 milk teas and 10 fruit teas in flavors such as ginger, build-your-own and mocha.
