Its spring opening turned into an early fall one, but The Battery—a new concept from the people behind Seminole Heights’ C House—is now open at Sparkman Wharf in downtown Tampa’s Water Street district.

The Battery, located at 615 Channelside Dr., soft opened on Sept. 16 and has been serving menu items like a Berkshire chop, charcuterie boards and fine bourbon ever since. Other offerings include steak and potatoes, wings and stuffed jalapeños, and the lobster mac and cheese.

The Battery places an emphasis on “fine bourbon” and “exquisite wine,” but also has a full-service bar. So, if you're not in a whiskey mood, you can swing for different cocktails like “Hello, Gorgeous!” made with tea-infused vodka (sourced from The Main Ingredient), St. Germain’s elderflower liqueur, honey, lemon juice and a rosewater spritz.

Happy hour specials are to be expected, but specifics are coming next week, according to the concept’s Instagram.

The 4,000-square-foot stand-alone location (nope, not a shipping container like other Wharf concepts) comes with a private dining room and outdoor seating. The space also boasts garage doors that open up to a view of Sparkman Wharf.

The Battery at downtown Tampa's Sparkman Wharf is open for dinner seven nights a week from 4 p.m.-10 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 4 p.m.-11 p.m. Friday-Saturday. Delivery isn’t a thing, but there is a to-go window for takeaway nights.

For reservations, you can book online or give the restaurant a call. For all the latest, you can follow @thebatterytpa on Instagram.
