Another new Seminole Heights eatery will premiere to the region at 5 p.m. Friday: The Bourgeois Pig.
While only a limited menu will be served to start, full service will kick off Friday, Dec. 26.
The hip Tampa neighborhood's diners will find the Bourgeois Pig, owned by Lysa and Michael Bozel, in a historic big blue bungalow at 7701 N. Nebraska Ave. It's equipped with a wrap-around porch and a whimsical piggy mascot out front, crafted by Rustic Steel Creations.
Back in June, Lysa told CL the restaurant will highlight eats such as soups, sandwiches, seafood and salads. Some of the dishes, headed by chef Chris Juers, including yellow fin tuna, beef stroganoff and patatas bravas, were showcased at events like menu tastings and last month's Taste of the Heights.
Cuban coffee, signature roasts and teas will be offered at Oz, the restaurant's bar, as early as 7 a.m. And lunch, dinner and a daily happy hour (craft beers and cocktails, and wines) are among the other features.
With period furniture pieces, as well as a fireplace and a crystal chandelier, Lysa called the pooch-friendly Bourgeois Pig's decor trendy and bohemian. There will be seating for more than 100 inside and out.
