Ybor City born and bred coffee shop Blind Tiger Cafe continues its speedy expansion throughout Tampa, and is set to open another location in Brandon’s Westfield Mall, in a space formerly occupied by a Starbucks.

A “Coming Soon” post on the mall’s website previews its newest addition, but doesn’t state a projected opening date. However, Blind Tiger owner Roberto Torres let food blogger Carlos Eats know that Westfield’s cafe will most likely open on May 15.

Expect all of its classic espresso drinks, teas, kombucha and Blind Tiger merch to be sold at this new Brandon location.

Tampa's Westshore Plaza also just added a Blind Tiger Cafe, which took over an old Starbucks space. These two Starbucks-to-Blind Tiger turnovers might mark the beginning of a trend throughout Tampa Bay.

Perhaps Blind Tiger is finding its retail niche, as cafes in Westshore Plaza and Sparkman’s Wharf are home to its newest cafes. With six locations throughout Tampa and more on the way, this Tampa-native coffee shop is making a swift expansion through its hometown.
