Last week CL announced that The Blend coffee shop and bar planned on opening two locations within a three-month span. Well, the first is making its debut tomorrow within the 490 First building in St. Pete, Friday, December 13.
The Blend took to Instagram to post the announcement, "Join us for our soft opening as we celebrate our newest location at the iconic 'Times Building' located at 490 1st Avenue S. in the heart of St. Pete."
Mother and daughter team, Stacha Madsen and Nichole McVicar, who left behind a self-sustaining coffee shop in Seattle (also named The Blend) are coming in hot into the coffee community pouring up espresso drinks, as well as a selection of wine, brews, kombucha and bites. St. Pete-based artist Leo Gomez has marked the new concept with a mural, which means a selfy wall for your latte art. The coffee shop will also host live music out on the patio. Looks like there is another place to get buzzed in the 'Burg.
Aroma Joe's, a Maine-based coffee chain is right on The Blends' heels, as it seems out-of-towners want a piece of our coffee-loving community.
Hours for the new coffee house are set for 7 a.m.-7 p.m. daily.
The second location of The Blend, which will be stationed at 1211 Fourth St. N. in the Historic Old Northeast neighborhood is set to open by January/February.
