Not sure what to serve up on Memorial Day? The Fresh Market has revelers covered with a lineup of in-store cookouts and tasting events.

Fast approaching, the extended holiday weekend brings sampling stations of gourmet burgers, seasonal produce and other summer bites like ice cream sandwiches to the specialty supermarket chain’s 176 stores nationwide. The outdoor grilling areas, for example, feature freshly ground beef patties with horseradish aioli, as well as halloumi cheese and portabella caps.

Other highlights include tropical luau bowls and cookies paired with various fruit dips and dessert sauces (think caramel and dark chocolate).

What’s more, Fresh Market shoppers who present an active or retired military ID receive a 10 percent discount on their purchases from Saturday to Monday.

The Fresh Market operates stores locally in Clearwater, St. Petersburg, Tampa, Valrico, Bradenton and Sarasota. Regionites can find their closest location online, as well as more info on the tastings planned for their neck of the woods.
