The Hyde Park Village Fresh Market begins Sunday, March 6, in Tampa

This new market is hosted by Tampa Bay Markets, Inc., a non-profit corporation "whose primary purpose is to support a locally-based food system that improves public health and well-being by increasing dietary intake of fresh fruits and vegetables."

The Fresh Market will take place around the in Hyde Park Square fountain the first Sunday of every month, year-round, rain or shine, from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Admission and parking is free to the public and friendly dogs on leashes are welcome.

Future Hyde Park Village Fresh Market dates: April 3, May 1, June 5, July 3 (subject to change due to holiday weekend), August 7, September 4 (subject to change due to holiday weekend), October 2, November 6 and December 4, 2011.

This Sunday, March 6th, marks the inaugural Hyde Park Village Fresh Market — a monthly event giving the people of Tampa Bay yet another opportunity to buy a variety of locally-produced products.

Modeled after the Tampa Downtown Market and the Seminole Heights Sunday Morning Market, this market will feature over 70 vendors offering fresh produce, handmade arts and crafts, delicious food, live music, cooking demonstrations and a local massage therapist.
