Creative Loafing Tampa Bay wrote about the arrival of this dog park and outdoor bar way back in 2017—and the long-awaited Seminole Heights Dog Park and Bar is now finally open at 4211 N. Nebraska Ave. in Tampa.
Three years ago, this dog-friendly boozy concept had the name Hair of the Dog, but now it boasts the simple name of Seminole Heights Dog Park and Bar.
It's basically a large patch of fenced-in, manicured grass, with a small building in the middle functioning as a full-service bar. There are various tables and chairs surrounding the bar, where you can sip beers and relax but still be close enough to make sure your dog doesn't hump anyone.
According to the three year-old rendering of its property, this new Seminole Heights spot has one side allocated for small dogs, while the other side is big pups only. All dogs have to be current on their shots to be a part of the Seminole Heights Dog Park and Bar community.
