The Rez Grill has teamed up with Winter Park’s James Beard Award-nominated gastropub, The Ravenous Pig, to showcase a six-course ticketed dinner in Tampa. Hosted at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino restaurant, the one-night-only culinary event is planned for 6 p.m. Dec. 4.
The Ravenous Pig chef-owner James Petrakis is known for his sustainable nosh made with Florida ingredients, while The Rez creative culinary director Frank Anderson specializes in elevated comfort food. Their collaborative feast has a pork-forward menu, so something tells CL those limited seats to the dinner won't last long.
Anderson and Petrakis will each prepare three dishes — matched with wine pairings. Courses include stracciatella cheese with Benton’s country ham, burnt honey and pistachio powder; tête de cochon brûlée with beets, Joyce’s mustard, shallot and frisée; frito pie with pork chili, dirty cheese, pickled jalapeño and cilantro; and Palmetto Creek pork loin with gnocchi, pumpkin and apple butter.
The dinner costs $99 per person. For reservations, which are required, call 813-627-6630.
