This weekend at the Bay Area Renaissance Festival it’s the Highland Fling Festival taking place on the fairgrounds in Piper’s Valley.
The top amateurs from across the nation will be competing for the Florida State Highland Heavy Games Championship and their opportunity to earn their professional status in the sport on Saturday and Sunday. In addition to the traditional bag pipe performances, the Festival will also host the Bay Area Coalition of Scottish Clans, Scottish Organizations, The St. Andrew’s Society and many other local Scottish groups located in the Scottish Village.
