Three Tampa Bay restaurants listed among Yelp’s 'Top 100 Pizza Spots' in nation

Sadly, local favorites like Santoro’s, Lee’s, Cappy’s and New York New York didn't make the cut.

Tampa Bay may not be known for its pizza, but we do have some damn good slices.

In honor of National Pizza Day, which is today, online Karen complaint aggregator Yelp released its “Top 100 Pizza Spots in the U.S.,” and three local joints made the cut.

St. Pete’s Noble Crust was ranked no. 56, Eddie & Sam’s NY Pizza in Tampa was ranked no. 63, and Clearwater’s Cristino’s Coal Oven Pizza was ranked no. 96.

Sadly, local favorites like Santoro’s, Lee’s, Cappy’s and New York New York didn't make the cut.

But Yelp’s list did include a few other Florida spots, like CRUST in Miami and Jacksonville’s Biggie Pizza. According to Yelp, the list came together by “using a number of factors including the total volume and ratings of reviews.”
