Boat-up restaurant Tiki Docks is officially opening a Madeira Beach location in early 2022.
It’s one of two locations currently in the works for the bar and grill chain, with another location on a lakefront property in Central Florida near Disney World, according to the Tampa Bay Business Journal. The Madeira Beach location is setting up shop in the Cambria Hotel—located at 15015 Madeira Way—and is likely to act as the prototype for future sites.
The tropically-themed concept is known around town for its live music and daily happy hour specials from 3 p.m.-6 p.m. Not much has been revealed about the bayfront location, but if it’s similar to the others, you can expect plenty of rum, oysters and other bar eats.
Tiki Docks has two other locations around the bay—one in Riverview and another in St. Pete’s Maximo Marina by the Skyway. Both locations are 15,000-square-feet, complete with indoor and outdoor waterfront dining. The Skyway location cost around $500,000 to complete, and the Riverview location was upwards of $8 million.
Parent company 23 Restaurant Services is scaling back future locations, aiming for around 11,000-square-feet for indoor and outdoor dining (5,000 for indoor seating and 5,000 to 6,000 for outdoor) for each of the bar’s new locations.
The company has started scouting out spaces in Miami and is even planning another location nearby at a yet-to-be-announced location.
